Skip has been employed by Catholic Health Initiatives since 2001. In his role as Vice President, he is responsible for the development and ongoing leadership of the CHI’s Physical Asset Services group (PAS).

PAS is made up of service organizations supporting Clinical Engineering, Architectural Services, Facility Management, Environmental Services, and Physical Security/Emergency Management Programs. These service organizations are supported by core groups leading Sustainability, Business Development, and Technology Services. Additional responsibilities include identification of best practices related to operations, energy management, integration of services in new locations, and strategy development for all managed service lines.

Skip has over 27 years of experience in healthcare facility management. He received his degree from The Ohio State University, is a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, and has earned the designation of Senior from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). Skip served as ASHE’s president in 2011.

It’s important that people from many disciplines -- architects, designers, engineers, and clinicians -- get involved in developing the Guidelines because we all come at it from a different perspective. FGI provides a collaborative environment in which to do this work, which is one way we as architects can best serve our clients.
